America needs a LEADER like this

Imagine the President (or any of the current crop of wannabes) saying this:

(Substitute USA instead of Australia)

Quote:
"IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.

'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom' 'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society Learn the language!

'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.' 'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.

'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.''If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted."

- Prime Minister John Howard -Australia

Just imagine indeed. Not going to happen in this country though.

What's wrong with this picture?

The unabridged title would be: The working Sheeple (the producers) go off to work to fund another paid vacation day for the non-producers.

Here I am working today in the private sector while so many others in the public sector get a paid day off or don't have to go to school. People who produce wealth go to work, the ones who benefit from the wealth created by other people get another freebie.

What's wrong with this picture indeed...

You WILL comply

(but not yet, only because we got caught - this time!)

Whew! We just dodged a bullet shot by the Big Nannies at PG&E and the CA Legislature, although I bet you haven't even heard of it. The "bullet" was a bill giving PG&E remote control of our home thermostats - I'm not kidding.

If you don't believe me here is a LINK to a liberal SF MSM website, not a fringe evil right-wing blog.

I'm sure it will show up in another unrelated piece of legislation passed in the middle of the night.

For those of you that eschew the notion of the Big Government Nanny is taking more control over your lives, you need to wake up! It is happening a little bit every day. We get the government that our short attention span, apathy, and narcissism allows.

Take your fingers off my cold dead thermostat...

Experience by osmosis?

When Mrs. Clinton refers to her "experience" in the White House as First Lady, please remember this curiously omitted factoid:

As First Lady, she did NOT have a high level security clearance, so she was EXCLUDED from all of those critical briefings that gave the President the REAL information which to make those big tough decisions.

Yes, she was exposed to many ins and outs of the White House and the Presidency, but when you're denied the actual who/what/why/how intelligence reports of world and domestic events it's not the same.

Food for thought...

Good Presidential advice

Keep the following quote in mind during the 2008 political silly season.

"Congressmen who willfully take actions during wartime that damage morale, and undermine the military are saboteurs and should be arrested, exiled or hanged."

President Abraham Lincoln

The other side of Kwanzaa

I know there are many sides to a story, but I bet you didn't learn this about the origins of Kwanzaa in school, or in the paper, or on the TV news.

Read it HERE. Be warned, don't read it if you can't get over your knee jerk convulsive reaction to anything written by Ann Coulter.

ps. I've encountered this historical account before in many other publications by many other authors. Ann isn't making this up.

2008

Personally, let's hope it's better than 2007.

Should be interesting and challenging, I'm sure.
