I am getting fed up with paying the price for assuaging the guilt of rich, arrogant, do-gooder liberals. They see no contradiction between themselves telling the unwashed masses (you and me) how to live our lives, as compared to their freedom to live their own lives as they wish, i.e., “do as I say, not as I do”.

If Sheryl Crow wants to use one square of toilet paper to remove her personal waste from her nether regions, GO RIGHT AHEAD! But where do you get off telling me that I HAVE to?

If VP Al Gore wants to use compact fluorescent bulbs instead of incandescent bulbs, GO RIGHT AHEAD! But where do you get off telling me that I HAVE to?

I wonder how many camera batteries, tons of paper, gallons of fuel, kilowatts of energy, etc. are used (wasted?) surrounding the daily lives of just these two people? If they really want to help the planet, maybe they should discontinue their musical and political careers and stay at home breathing and growing trees. They have more than enough money to be able to survive without “working” another day in their lives.

Following their twisted “logic”, we need even more regulations that are way overdue to save the planet from hellfire destruction:

[1] Limit the home size based on the number of inhabitants. I think 250 square feet per person would be more than plenty. When you have a child or get married you get a larger domicile allowance and less when your kid or your boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse moves out. No more mansions and multiple homes for rich entertainers or democratic politicians.
[2] In the spirit of [1], limit the number and size of automobiles allowed to each family/person. A family of four can logistically fit into a 1980 Yugo. Same increase/decrease of automotive allowance rules apply. Imagine no more multiple vehicles, SUVs, station wagons, sports cars, and limos for Hollywood types and politicians! All cars will be electric vehicles of course. How DO we produce the energy to charge these electric cars?
[3] Limit and control all of the food allotted to each person. Same rules above apply. No more McDonalds, bottled water, imported food, etc.
[4] No more resources expended to leisure activity, since it is only a luxury and not productive. No more sports, movies (sorry Al), music and concerts (sorry Sheryl), books, TV, radio, etc.
[5] No more public funded employees (politicians, social workers, bureaucrats). Imagine all of the tons of wasted paper, fuel, electricity, etc. saved here!!! (This one I agree with.)
[6] Limit the number of children to only a replacement for yourself in the population. Besides overpopulating the planet, children use so many resources! A childless couple could sell their reproductive "offsets" or "credits" to those who want more children.
[7] Forbid the use of all technology (computers, phones, TVs, airplanes, etc.) because all they do is pollute and generate waste. No more private G5 jets (sorry Sheryl, Al, Hillary, Nancy, et all).

I could go on, but you get the point.

Maybe we should just eliminate ALL humans from the face of the planet until there is no more "global warming". We should start with those that have a carbon footprint larger than the alloted ration, not adjusted with "credits" (sorry Sheryl and Al)! Yes, yes! Let's do it for "the children" - except that then we're done, there won't be any left.

I have a better suggestion. Do what YOU want to “help save the planet” and I’ll do what I want, so please just shut the f*** up!

This weekend the first actual non-white pigment was applied to our walls. What a difference! Due to logistical reasons, the lucky room happened to be my office/studio, i.e., "man room".

All of the earlier preparation, modifications, and improvements in infrastructure are now accelerating towards fruition.

A pinhole of light at the end of the home improvement tunnel has appeared...

Seems almost like a reception line except for all of the extortion, and the taxpayer - not the father of the bride, is funding the charade.

p.s. Try and locate the actual churches that these two "reverends" preach at and at what institutions where they intellectually labored to earn their professional honorary prefix. (HINT: you won't...)

(Un)Intended Consequences?

Cause => Effect. Action => Reaction.

Such a simple, fundamental truth of physics, economics, and life.

CAUSE - enviros' demand for biofuels and ethanol, "enlightened" SF and LA city board members waging war on plastic grocery bags and replace them with corn-based alternatives

EFFECT/CAUSE - increase in demand for the limited supply of available corn

EFFECT/CAUSE - increase in the price of corn (basic supply/demand Econ 101)

EFFECT/CAUSE - increase in the cost of animal feed, ethanol

EFFECT/CAUSE - increase in the cost of milk, beef, pork, chicken, biodegradable grocery bags, general transportation costs

EFFECT/CAUSE - increase in your overall cost of groceries, clothing, and pretty much EVERYTHING you buy that requires some form of transport to get said product from point A to point B (including you)

EFFECT - you can fill in the rest...

It's already starting. So don't be surprised (or indignantly outraged) when the above affects YOUR bottom line, because YOU are letting it happen without a fight or may even be encouraging it.

During the deconstruction/remodeling of our house I've made several trips to various home improvement stores. For those of you who are still in denial about the North American Union "conspiracy"...

Next time you're in such a store, take a look at all of the overhead signs at the ends of the aisles and make a mental note of what 2-3 languages are printed on them. Scan the packaging of the products on the shelves. Seeing a pattern develop?

From what I've observed, the outer packaging is generally in English and then Spanish in a smaller italicized font. The included instructions are generally in English, Spanish, and French. Sometimes I've seen some French on the outer packaging, but it's predominately English and Spanish.

Now before you send the thugs in white lab coats for me, take a look for yourself and then ask yourself why.

So much for assimilation...
