Smile for the Camera

I finally populated my photos page. Just a few captured moments in time from my wedding and European travels. I know how self-serving and boring photo galleries can be, so I tried to limit their quantity.

Bring out your Dead! Bring out your Dead!

I’m not dead yet!

That gnat that just went annoyingly past your ear was the whole 666 hyped non-story. It’s sad that I read more articles and heard more reports about 666 than the anniversary of D-Day or the primary elections. When does American Idol start again?

Speaking of the elections, it seems that for all of our bitching and moaning, nothing changed (again). We’re sending the same people back to Congress to continue doing their exemplary job of turning our country into a socialist/fascist/communist third-world cesspool. It’s so strangely inconsistent that we vote down bond measures and tax increases, but we elect people that openly say they will raise taxes! Of course I'm referring to Californians here. I’ve lived here for most of my adult life and still can’t figure these people out.

Make sure you check out Glenn Beck’s show on CNN Headline News. He is required viewing in my home.

Another Evil, Bigoted, Racist President

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

- Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an American in 1907
